Job Purpose

• To design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance WordPress websites and custom themes/plugins, ensuring alignment with SEO, UI/UX, and performance best practices. The role supports the digital marketing and branding goals by delivering scalable web solutions that enhance user experience and reflect the company’s digital identity.

Job Description / Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Ensure websites are mobile-responsive, cross-browser compatible, and optimized for speed and performance.
• Convert Figma, PSD, or XD designs into WordPress or HTML pages.
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including SEO, content, design, cybersecurity, DevOps, and the broader marketing team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Collaborate with designers to transform UI/UX wireframes into functional websites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress core, themes, plugins, and third-party integrations.
• Conduct website audits to improve security, scalability, and adherence to SEO best practices.
• Optimize websites for performance using caching, CDNs, and image optimization techniques.
• Developing both the front-end and back-end of the website.
• Planning and creating website architecture.
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality.
• Managing back-end tasks like database and server integration.
• Experience with eCommerce systems such as WooCommerce or similar platforms.
• Testing and troubleshooting the website and analyzing live website performance.
• Stay updated with industry trends, WordPress updates, and emerging technologies.

Job Specification / Skills and Competencies

• 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Expertise in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress architecture.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/JQuery.
• Good understanding of technical SEO fundamentals and site architecture.
• Experience with responsive frameworks and CSS preprocessors.
• Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, etc.
• Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, CDN integration, and caching strategies is a bonus.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
