About this opportunity:

What you will do:
You will be involved in testing a real 5G end to end (e2) system with real HW both manual and automated on functional and non-functional level. You will be engaged in

• Create test plans for new features and update existing regression test with new features
• Create and execute tests for 5G system tests (Regression, Performance, upgrade/backward compatibility, robustness, load) both on functional and non-functional level
• Integrate test automation scripts within CI/CD pipelines following CI/CD strategies
• Implement and execute manual and automated test cases in a full end to end (e2e) 5G test environment
• Support and collaborate with team members around the globe
• Identify, document, and track defects, issues, and enhancements
• Participate and drive maintenance activities (reproduction and fixing of bugs)
• Driving fault slip through and root cause analysis investigations and implementinglearnings/improvements into existing test scenarios
• Continuously improve the testing process by observing opportunities to optimize testing activities, including automation and scripting
• Prepare and maintain the test environment

The skills you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience overall in Software Quality Assurance roles
• Minimum 1+ years of experience in software test automation
• Expertise in e2e testing
• Experience in Python or any other test framework or script languages
• Experience in using any of test automation tools and frameworks, such as Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Pytest or similar tools
• Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python) for developing test automation tools and test suites
• Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD
• Knowledge of Cloud native environments and applications (Kubernetes based)
• Knowledge in IP networking, RAN and lab and UE handling, by that experience in testing packet core and RAN
• Understanding of network architecture and design principles, including TCP/IP and routing protocols
• Expertise in Linux administration
• Creative thinking and effective problem-solving skills
• Troubleshooting abilities, good analytical and communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English
• Determined attitude, strong team player and adept at managing changes
• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
• Passion to learn & adapt each day and to stimulate new processes improving efficiency and user experience

Additionally, the following qualifications and skills would be advantageous:

• Knowledge of the telecommunication domain
• Understanding of Packet Core (3GPP) Ericsson and possibly others is a great plus
