Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in either our Pune or Chennai location. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in manual testing, QA automation using Playwright, and performance testing with LoadRunner, who is eager to grow and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
As a Software Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, operations team and other QA team members to understand application functionality, design test strategies, and execute both manual and automated tests.
- Analyze requirements, design details and translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Perform manual testing to validate new features, functionality and ensure regression coverage when no automated test scripts are available.
- Develop, maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and manage test execution through the automated test suite.
- Conduct performance testing using LoadRunner, analyze results, and identify bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application workflows and business logic.
- Quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and application domains.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Document defects clearly and track them through resolution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and practices.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in software testing (manual, automated and performance).
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Load Runner
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to learn application functionality quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience testing web-based applications.
- Familiarity with SQL for writing queries and perform some data related testing - Preferred
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git) - Preferred
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies – Preferred
- Basic knowledge Python / React / Java / PostgresDB or Azure is a plus.
- Minimum B.E. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
