RF Testing Engineer Possible Designations under the role & Year of Experience range: 3 – 5 Years
Purpose of Role
RF Testing Engineer will be part of the team and contribute to Board-level and sub-system level DUT characterization and qualification. Ideal candidate should be an experienced RF Testing and Validation person who possess good RF/Analog and Digital domain fundamentals. This role is expected to independently perform the Board-level and sub-system level validation using appropriate tools and T&M instruments as well as detailed test reports generation, and other artifacts ownership for set-up files, test-files, automation scripts etc. Individual should also be capable of handling contemporary T&M suites including in-house/or OEM proprietary test bundles.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
RF DUT Testing, System level characterization for Stability, Noise Figure (NF), Gain & Linearity (P1dB), Intermods (IM3/IIP3), ACLPR, EVM, CCDF, Rx. Sensitivity, Thermal Chamber Testing and S-parameter characterization.
3GPP TS Series 36/37/38 and O-RAN qualification fundamentals for 5G-NR and NGN products.
Able to independently work on T&M infra, Testing & qualification documentation, and component qualification for power derating related analysis and documentation.
Prepare test specifications and test procedures and develop test fixtures.
DVT, SVT, RCT and End-to-End testing for RF/Wireless products using Keysight, R&S and Anritsu T&M (VSG/VSA/VNA and Samling Oscilloscopes etc.) including O-RAN Studio, MIMO suites etc.
S-parameter measurements, noise figure and linearity measurements related activities.
Hands-on experience with DU Emulator and MIMO related validation would be an added advantage.
Assist in PA, LNA and other RF Active/Passive components (Duplexers/Filters, Power Dividers/ Combiners, Switches, Directional Couplers, and Attenuators/Splitters etc.) testing and validate to verify regulatory and performance targets.
Collaborate with senior engineers/team-lead on RF testing and performance tuning more focused for design verification test for Target power, EVM, Sensitivity and Spurious etc for TX/RX/ORX chains.
Education Qualification
M.Tech/B.Tech./B.E. in Engineering (Electronics & Comm/Electrical & Electronics/other relevant domains).
