Job Title: Manual Software Testing Engineer Intern

Location: Mohali, Sector 74
Duration: 6 months Internship after full time job

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Manual Software Testing Engineer Intern to join our dynamic testing team. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by executing manual tests and reporting any defects or issues. You will work closely with senior QA engineers and developers to understand product requirements, participate in test case creation, and contribute to improving the overall testing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating and executing detailed test cases for manual testing.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing of software applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects in the defect management system.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and other agile ceremonies.
• Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met.
• Review requirements and specifications to understand testing scope and identify potential test scenarios.
• Perform exploratory testing and provide feedback on the user experience.
• Contribute to maintaining and improving the test environment.
• Help automate repetitive test cases when possible (depending on skillset and training).

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of software testing concepts and principles.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive and eager to learn new technologies and testing tools.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello.
• Familiarity with test case creation and execution.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of basic programming concepts (e.g., Java, Python) for test automation is a plus.
• Ability to think critically and troubleshoot effectively.
