Software Tester

Overview

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, identifying bugs, ensuring software quality, and collaborating closely with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements to create effective test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
• Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and usability testing.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and validate bug fixes.
• Execute regression test suites before software releases.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and
• retrospectives.
• Ensure software meets functional, performance, and quality standards.
• Maintain detailed test documentation, execution reports, and automation frameworks. Continuously improve QA processes, testing strategies, and automation coverage.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
• Hands-on experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
• Experience in writing detailed test cases, test plans, and defect reports.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or
• Appium.
• Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Experience with bug-tracking and project management tools such as Jira or Azure
• DevOps. Understanding of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Software Testing (Manual & Automation).
• Experience testing web and mobile applications.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps Pipelines is an advantage.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter is a plus.
• ISTQB certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹650,000.00 per year
