Overview
Must Haves
- Strong knowledge in SQL development and relational databases (2 years with MS SQL Server, additional experience with databases such as PostgreSQL/Oracle a plus).
- Experience with database design, indexing, normalization, and query optimization techniques (including performance profiling).
- Priority focus on Microsoft products (MS SQL, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Visual Studio)
- Proven experience as an SQL Developer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (2 years working with MS-SQL Server).
- Experience with database design, indexing, normalization, and query optimization techniques – including the difference between join types and performance implications behind SQL commands and the syntax used to invoke them.
- Familiarity with tools such as Synapse is desirable.Familiarity with data modeling tools and practices.
- Capable of understanding existing materialized views, write new ones and eventually optimize their performance/execution time.
- Ability to work with large datasets and handle the associated performance challenges.
- Understanding of database security and best practices.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools (optional, but a plus).Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
