Overview

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SQL Developer to join our dynamic team. The SQL Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex SQL queries and databases. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in SQL programming, experience with relational databases, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Design & Development:
• Design, implement, and maintain SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions.
• Design and optimize database structures, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and security.
• Write complex queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data for various applications and reports.
• Performance Tuning:
• Analyze and optimize database performance by identifying bottlenecks and applying solutions like indexing and query optimization.
• Review and refactor existing code to improve efficiency and maintainability.
• Data Integration & Transformation:
• Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data migration and integration between systems.
• Work with other teams to integrate SQL-based solutions into applications and other business systems.
• Data Quality & Security:
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data.
• Implement database security measures, including role-based access controls and encryption, to safeguard sensitive information.
• Collaboration & Support:
• Work closely with software developers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Provide support for production database environments, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems.
• Documentation:
• Create and maintain technical documentation for SQL code, procedures, and database structures.
• Document best practices and standards for SQL development and database management.

Requirements:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience as an SQL Developer or in a similar database-focused role.
• Strong experience with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational database management systems.
• Experience in database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Familiarity with data modeling and database design concepts.
• Skills:
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, joins, subqueries, and aggregations.
• Strong knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Understanding of database normalization and indexing strategies.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) for managing database changes.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell is a plus.
• Ability to work with large data sets and high-volume environments.
• Tools:
• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Azure Data Studio, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as SSRS or Tableau is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based database platforms such as AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Azure SQL Database.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in an Agile development environment.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹263,796.17 - ₹1,175,485.86 per year
