Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.

Playwright experience is mandatory for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript)
• Write robust, reusable, and maintainable automated test scripts
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Execute test suites, analyze results, and report defects with proper documentation
• Perform API testing and validate backend services
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to QA best practices
• Improve test coverage, reduce manual efforts, and enhance automation efficiency
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (Mandatory)
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
• Experience in automation framework design and development
• Good understanding of Web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM)
• Experience in API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools)
• Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Good to Have

• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, k6)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker
• Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-platform testing strategies

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
