Gartner has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Data Business Analyst within the Chief Data and Analytics Office. The role will provide support for our Data and Analytics Scrum teams and lead the end-to-end technical and business data requirements analysis for initiatives across all Gartner Business Units.

Gartner has an exciting career opportunity for a Sr. Data Business Analyst within the Chief Data and Analytics Office. The role will provide support for our Data and Analytics Scrum teams and lead the end-to-end technical and business data requirements analysis for initiatives across all Gartner Business Units.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as a liaison between data engineers, data stewards, business units, and other IT teams to ensure seamless data integration and effective data product implementation across the business.
- Collaborate across business and technical teams, both on site and offshore, to create business deliverables such as Process Maps, Business Requirements, Technical Requirements, Functional Requirements (including Use cases), User Stories and User Acceptance Tests.
- Provide support to other business/data analysts, business process owners and project managers to help drive and deliver business initiatives.
- Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis and create accurate/timely impact analysis.
- Identify, communicate, and assist data gap resolution that impacts the delivery of data products.
- Gain domain knowledge in relevant business areas, data acquisition principles/sources, technical options/limitations, and communicate risks supporting data product delivery.
- Ensure quality through adherence to and by supporting processes and procedures, including the maintenance of documentation on collaborative file sharing systems.
- Provide support to other business analysts, business process owners and project managers to help drive and deliver business initiatives.
- Contribute to improvements to our client's Business Analysis documentation and methodologies.
- 3 - 5 years of experience as Business Analyst/Data Analyst in an Analytics environment
- Experience with Scrum/Agile methodology.
- Advanced SQL skills and understanding of data analysis tools and techniques required
- Working knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint etc.
- Expert with business intelligence and data visualization systems a plus (Tableau, Power BI).
- Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communications skills interacting with technical and business audiences.
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
- Possesses a willingness and aptitude to embrace new technologies and master concepts rapidly.
- Data driven and analytical by nature with demonstratable passion for data and analytics.
- Intellectual curiosity, passion for technology and keeping up with new trends.
