Sr. DevOps Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure supporting Hotstuff's Layer-1 blockchain and exchange-grade services. You will work closely with protocol engineers, backend developers, and security teams to ensure smooth deployments, high uptime, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage cloud infrastructure for blockchain nodes and backend services.
• Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and optimise containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Support node operations, upgrades, and network releases.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc. )
• Improve system reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Maintain logs, metrics, alerts, and dashboards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Collaborate on security best practices and access controls.
  
  

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong experience with Linux systems and networking.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc. )
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Strong troubleshooting and automation skills.
• Experience managing blockchain nodes or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of BFT consensus or Layer-1 infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Go, Bash, or Python scripting.
• Understanding of security, key management, and secret handling.
• Experience with EVM networks or Engine-API.
• Exposure to high-availability or financial systems.
