Sr. DevOps Engineer

Architect and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments using AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and more. Develop and maintain Python and Bash scripts to automate routine tasks, deployments, and monitoring, thereby enhancing operational efficiency.

Oversee and optimise version control practices with Git, focusing on branching strategies, code reviews, and repository management. Utilise Terraform to design, implement, and manage infrastructure by automating the provisioning and configuration of AWS cloud resources.

Develop and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for fast and reliable software delivery, leveraging tools like Jenkins and AWS CodePipeline. Deploy, manage, and scale containerised applications in production environments using Kubernetes (EKS).

Integrate security practices into the DevSecOps pipeline, ensuring security is a core component of the development process by implementing automated security testing, compliance monitoring, and secure coding practices. Provide expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to infrastructure, applications, and systems.

Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, the ELK Stack, and CloudWatch. Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between infrastructure, operations, and application development.

Work within Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, and ensuring that DevOps practices are aligned with Agile principles. Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, processes, and systems.
