The role

The Sr. Web Applications Developer will be joining the Digital Experience team. This role will be part of a team responsible for delivering implementations on web technologies.

What You’ll Bring

Build and maintain dynamic, responsive, and performant user interfaces using React.js.

Manage the application state effectively with Redux, React Context, or other state management solutions.

Develop Node.js serverless functions on AWS Lambda to integrate with frontend React applications and external APIs.

Leverage AWS Amplify and AWS Lambda along with other AWS services like API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB to create scalable, secure backend solutions.

Consume RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints in the frontend, integrating with AWS Lambda and other services for serverless backends.

Utilize AWS services for deployment, scaling, and monitoring, including AWS CloudFormation, AWS Lambda, and AWS S3.

Optimize both frontend and backend (Lambda) for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Work closely with backend engineers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to define and implement user-centric solutions.

Implement security best practices for both frontend (React) and serverless backend (Node.js, AWS Lambda).

Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and testing of frontend and serverless backend code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with strong expertise in designing and implementing web applications.
• Strong experience in React.js with a deep understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Expertise in managing state using libraries such as Redux, React Context, or similar tools.
• Experience with AWS Amplify for rapid application deployment and management.
• Solid experience in building Node.js applications with a focus on AWS Lambda for serverless architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as AWS Lambda, AWS Amplify, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, and IAM.
• Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs or GraphQL with frontend and serverless backend services.
• Experience with Git and version control platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Understanding of web security principles (CORS, authentication, encryption, etc.) and implementing security measures in AWS and frontend applications.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application development principles and AWS best practices.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to optimize and debug both frontend and serverless code.
