Sr. PHP Developer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to lead our

development team and drive the design, development, and implementation of complex

PHP-based applications and systems. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for

architecting solutions, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality

code that meets our clients' needs and exceeds industry standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team,

including architecture design, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers.

2. Full-Stack Development: Lead the development of PHP-based web applications, including

front-end and back-end components, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

3. Code Quality Assurance: Enforce coding standards, best practices, and design patterns to

maintain a high level of code quality, readability, and maintainability.

4. System Architecture: Design and architect robust, scalable, and maintainable software

solutions that meet business requirements and adhere to architectural principles.

5. Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for

efficient data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.

6. API Development: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for integration with third-party

services, mobile applications, and other systems.

7. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize code, queries, and

system configurations to improve application performance and scalability.

8. Security Compliance: Implement security best practices and measures to protect applications

against common security threats and vulnerabilities.

9. Project Management: Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and stakeholders

to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality

solutions.

10. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document technical specifications, architectural

designs, and development processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and on boarding of new

team members.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Master’s

degree is a plus.

2. 5+ years of professional experience in PHP web development, with a strong proficiency in

PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.

3. Extensive experience in full-stack web development, including front-end technologies (HTML,

CSS, JavaScript) and modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js).

4. In-depth knowledge of relational database concepts and experience working with SQL

databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), including database design, optimization, and

administration.

5. Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and principles, with the ability

to architect complex systems and make well-informed technical decisions.

6. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies

(e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot complex

issues independently.

8. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with

cross-functional teams and drive technical initiatives.

9. Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget in

an Agile environment.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
