Job Overview

HYi.AI is looking for an experienced Senior Back-End Developer (Python) to architect and build scalable, high-performance server-side applications that power our AI-driven products. You will design robust APIs, optimize databases, and ensure our systems are secure, reliable, and maintainable. This is a key role in shaping our core platform and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based back-end services and APIs.
• Architect and optimize databases (SQL/NoSQL) for high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, and data science teams to integrate new features.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry standards.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement long-term fixes.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional back-end development experience with Python.
• Strong knowledge of Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).
• Experience designing RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance-tuning skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with asynchronous programming (AsyncIO, Celery, etc.).
• Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Background in AI/ML data pipelines or distributed systems.
