About the Role
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer who is a seasoned expert in both manual and automation testing. This individual will be a self-starter, capable of independently identifying quality gaps, proposing process improvements, and taking initiative to enhance testing effectiveness across the team. You will lead by example, champion best practices, and guide the QA team toward standardization and excellence in testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and execute comprehensive testing strategies including manual and automated test plans across various products and platforms.
Drive and implement test automation frameworks and reusable components to improve regression test efficiency.
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure quality is baked into every step of the development cycle.
Identify gaps in current QA processes and proactively lead initiatives to close those gaps with sustainable improvements.
Mentor and guide QA team members, ensuring consistency, knowledge sharing, and adherence to testing best practices.
Establish and maintain QA metrics and reporting standards to track quality trends and outcomes.
Review and approve test strategies, plans, and test cases to ensure high coverage and reliability.
Be a torchbearer for process standardization, ensuring that all testing activities align with industry best practices and organizational goals.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong mix of manual and automated testing.
Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent).
Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and QA methodologies.
Experience in identifying and leading QA process improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and experience mentoring or leading QA teams.
Nice to Have
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests into build processes.
Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Rest Assured.
Background in BDD/TDD frameworks and methodologies.
