Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role: The role is for an experienced software engineer working on building futuristic Agentic Bot Mitigation platform and experiences for PayPal's diverse customer base across the globe. The role will involve working with business teams, product teams, architects and engineers located across our global offices. We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. As a core participant of our team, you’ll estimate engineering efforts, design your changes, implement and test your changes, push to live, and triage production issues.

Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:

• Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles.
• Advises immediate management on project-level issues
• Guides junior engineers
• Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices
• Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions
  
  
  

• 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  
  
  

• Ability to influence and strong communication to interact with at all levels of the organization and across multiple domains.
• Co-develop & follow best practices related to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) & Agile methods to raise the level of automation and quality in our code repos.
  
  
  

• Design and Develop front end code in TypeScript and Java to implement efficient integration with API endpoints.
• Co-develop & follow best practices related to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) & Agile methods to raise the level of automation and quality in our code repos.
• Embrace AI technology and be proactive to adopt
• Drive innovation by researching and incorporating state-of-the-art AI techniques, tools, and frameworks into Feature platform.
• Develop trusted partnership with business, product, data scientists and architecture leaders to drive optimized platform product delivery
• Effective communication, listening, interpersonal, influencing, and alignment driving skills; able to convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner.
  
  
  

• Minimum 5 years of frontend development experience
• Strong proficiency in React, Typescript, Javascript, html, css.
• Knowledge and experience working with RESTful API services ( JAVA / Golang / Node.js/etc.)
• Vibe coding experience
• MUI, React Hook Form, GraphQL/Apollo
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across the whole tech stack - language, databases, web servers, and system environment
• Masters / bachelor’s in computer science, software engineering or related disciplines
• Strong communication, listening, interpersonal, influencing, and alignment driving skills; able to convey important messages in a clear and compelling manner
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technology and industry trends and leverage this knowledge to enhance the platform's capabilities.
• Knowledge of embedding generation, vector search is a plus
• Expertise in any language like Python, Go, Java, and proficiency in machine learning techniques is a plus
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure), CI/CD with Jenkins and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
