Sr. Software Engineer-DevEx DevOps-Escalation Engineer

ISG TechOps team includes DevSecOps, LabOps and services, and IT software and tools as well as Strategy and Transformation. We are seeking a passionate and skilled team of individuals who will focus on improving developer workflows and identifying opportunities to enhance the overall developer experience at scale. This team will work within our established Scrum framework and leverage existing tools to drive meaningful improvements and standardization of SDLC for our engineering organization.

What You’ll Achieve

As a Sr. Software Engineer-DevEx DevOps in the Developer Experience (DevEx) team within Infrastructure Solutions, you’ll focus on enhancing developer productivity and satisfaction. Your responsibilities include resolving complex developer experience issues swiftly, ensuring uptime and reliability of DevOps tools, troubleshooting system-level problems, optimizing CI/CD pipelines with AI-driven automation, collaborating across teams to improve tooling adoption, and proactively addressing recurring issues through intelligent monitoring and automation.

You will:

• Serve as the key escalation resource for technical issues impacting developer workflows, pipelines, and automation frameworks.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve critical incidents impacting software delivery and developer tooling.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automation scripts and tools to optimize build, test, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, SREs, and platform engineers to promote best practices and reliability.
• Document escalation procedures, automation workflows, and troubleshooting guides for knowledge sharing.

Essential Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in escalation support, DevOps, or automation engineering focused on developer experience.
• Proficient scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, Groovy, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Github actions, Artifactory), source control systems (Git).
• Knowledge of Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration, including pod and cluster management.
• Skilled in root cause analysis, technical escalation management, and effective communication. Provide Escalation/Technical Support from Sunday-Thursday.
  
  

Desirable Requirements

• Experience using AI-driven automation tools to optimize CI/CD pipelines and improve incident response.
• Familiarity with AI-based monitoring, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.
