Sr Software Engineer

Overview

• Develop new applications and support existing applications based on business requirements.
• Discuss with users effectively, gather requirements and convert them to technical specification documents.
• Able to prepare functional documents from existing applications / programs.
• Able to work independently and / or with other team memebers.
• Designs, develops, modifies, debugs and evaluates programs for functional areas
• Analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems.
• Should have strong problem solving & analytical skills.
• Flexible in exploring, learning and adapting to working with new technologies.
• Able troubleshoot and debug existing applications
• Prepare unit test cases and perform unit testing.
• Flexible to give production support whenever applications down.
  
  

• Bachelor’s / master’s degree in engineering / MCA.
• 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience
  
  

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Microsoft .net environment using C#, ASP.Net, ADO.Net
• Good experience in sql server concepts. Able to write procedures, functions and optimize queries performance.
• Experience in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS / bootstrap.
• Experience working with Web services, Web APIs and MVC concepts.
• Must have good knowledge of OOPs concepts.
• Good exposure to all stages of SDLC life cycle including deployments and maintenance.
• Experience in managing projects in different source controls like SVN and Git.
• Experience working with Manufacturing Execution System (like Camstar or any other MES) is plus.
• Having knowledge in open-source technologies like Angular, ReactJS, MongoDB is plus.
  
  

• Should be available 24*7 for any production issue and support
• Should be flexible to collaborate with peer group in different time zones.
• The work mode of Finisar India is Hybrid i.e. 3 days at office.
