Sr. Test Engineer - Functional Testing Job

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for the finance master data management web application.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure the application meets business requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability and quality risks.
• Identify, document, and track defects and issues using a defect tracking system.
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for software testing and quality assurance.
• Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on web applications and financial systems.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiar with master data management concepts and accounting/finance systems is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with tools like DevOps and JIRA for documenting test cases.
  
  

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Automation testing experience is a plus.
