Staff Software Engineer, Cloud SQL - Postgres

Overview

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience in testing, and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• Experience as PostgreSQL open-source contributor with the contributions to core performance and scalability.
• Ability to optimize PostgreSQL performance and resolve database issues with contributing to product improvement and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to participate in PostgreSQL Developer Meetings, with the knowledge of roadmaps and community decisions.

Responsibilities

• Be an expert in PostgreSQL core performance and scalability, through significant contributions to the Open Source (OSS) community.
• Focus on driving innovation, accelerating product development.
• Contribute to roadmap discussions, optimize database performance, and enhance customer satisfaction through issue resolution.
