Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
• Experience with data storage, data governance, and data modeling.
• Experience with finance systems or large data processing.

Google Cloud Business Platform (GCBP) Finance engineering is responsible for automating various aspects of business recognition to meet accounting standards and build highly scalable big data pipelines that assist various scenarios of Management reporting. The Revenue Recognition Pre-Processor (RRP) is a business recognition system for Google Cloud revenue. RRP can handle complex business accounting to reduce manual effort and risk of restatements. RRP ensures compliance with ASC606 standards published by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) by integrating with various upstream ordering systems in the enterprise. This system is built to be flexible to support Cloud’s evolving Go-to-Market strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the key project deliverables leveraging other full-time employees and vendors across the teams and geographies.
• Develop, build, and deploy applications using various platforms and technologies like Java/BigQuery. Work closely with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and manage data transformation pipelines to build financial data products from other data sources using BigQuery technology stack.
• Maintain highest levels of development practices, including technical design, solution development, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution, writing clean, modular, and self-sustaining code.
• Architect innovative solutions to automate and scale business systems. Provide direction for architecture, design, build, and support activities required for enterprise software platforms and drive for excellence, performance, and security.
