Staff Software Engineer, Google One

Overview

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
  
  

• Experience collaborating in a globally distributed product and engineering team.
• Understanding of distributed systems architecture and database technologies.
• Excellent communication skills across engineering, product and business domains.
  
  

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work on creating a delightful post sign-up membership experience to increase subscriber and lifetime value (upgrades).
• Identify areas of investment to build components that will speed up business experimentation and enhance user experience.
• Work across front-end (Web, iOS, Android) and back-end (spanner, scaled services) stack to drive capabilities that drive business outcomes.
• Build proof-of-concepts and convert new Google front-end stack technologies towards creating scalable Google One post purchase experience infrastructure.
