Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software product.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers and Machine Learning (ML) engineers, providing technical guidance, career development, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with product managers, User Experience Researchers (UXRs), User Experience (UX) designers, and data scientists to define the product goals, strategy, and roadmap for Catalog Product Search, leveraging Machine Learning.
• Drive the technical design, architecture, and implementation of scalable and reliable search systems powered by ML models for ranking, relevance, query understanding, and other search functionalities.
• Ensure the team delivers high-quality, well-tested code and robust ML models that meet performance, scalability, accuracy, and reliability requirements.
