Overview
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive System Administrator with hands-on experience in Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 administration. The ideal candidate will manage device configurations, application deployments, user policies, compliance enforcement, and security monitoring across the enterprise IT ecosystem. This role requires deep expertise in device management, security, automation, and end-user support.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive System Administrator with hands-on experience in Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 administration. The ideal candidate will manage device configurations, application deployments, user policies, compliance enforcement, and security monitoring across the enterprise IT ecosystem. This role requires deep expertise in device management, security, automation, and end-user support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Intune Administration
- Enroll and manage Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices using Microsoft Intune.
- Deploy device configuration profiles for security enforcement.
- Monitor device compliance and enforce Conditional Access policies.
- Deploy and manage desktop and mobile applications.
- Implement App Protection Policies (APP) to safeguard company data.
- Utilize Microsoft Store for Business and integrate third-party apps.
- Create compliance policies to ensure device security.
- Configure settings for encryption, password policies, device restrictions, and more.
- Manage Endpoint Security profiles (BitLocker, antivirus, firewall, etc.).
- Use the Intune admin console to track device and app performance.
- Generate and analyze compliance, deployment, and error reports.
- Leverage Microsoft Graph API and Power BI for advanced reporting.
- Assign and manage roles using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Collaborate with Azure Entra ID teams to manage user groups and licensing.
- Ensure least-privilege access through accurate role scoping.
Integrate Intune with:
- Azure Entra ID for identity and access management.
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint for threat protection.
- Windows Autopilot for streamlined device provisioning.
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Logic Apps.
- Apply Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across devices.
- Enforce disk encryption using BitLocker and FileVault.
- Integrate with Mobile Threat Defense (MTD) platforms.
- Resolve device enrollment, application deployment, and policy conflict issues.
- Collaborate with help desk teams to deliver end-user support.
- Analyze logs and use diagnostics tools for issue resolution.
- Stay updated with Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager enhancements.
- Participate in training sessions and Microsoft tech communities.
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Create and manage user accounts via Microsoft 365 Admin Center and Azure Entra ID.
- Assign and manage licenses for Microsoft 365 services and applications.
- Maintain security and distribution group memberships.
- Manage user and shared mailboxes and configure retention/litigation policies.
- Administer transport rules and email protection via Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
- Manage Microsoft Teams settings including messaging, meetings, and app permissions.
- Oversee SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business permissions and data sharing.
- Control external access and guest collaboration securely.
- Enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access.
- Monitor security alerts in Microsoft 365 Security Center.
- Administer DLP, eDiscovery, and compliance policies via Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal.
- Ensure adherence to data protection regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.
- Monitor service availability through the Microsoft 365 Service Health Dashboard.
- Handle service-related incidents and user support requests.
- Stay informed via Message Center updates and release advisories.
- Generate reports on usage (Teams, mailboxes, licenses, etc.).
- Enable and analyze audit logs for user and admin activity tracking.
- Provide insights to management and compliance teams.
- Use PowerShell to automate tasks like user provisioning and license assignment.
- Maintain scripting libraries to enhance administrative efficiency.
- Implement recovery procedures for emails, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive data.
- Evaluate and manage native or third-party backup solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in system administration with a focus on Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and compliance requirements.
- Microsoft certifications preferred.
