Overview
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented System Administrator with 6 months to 1.5 years of hands-on experience to support, maintain, and monitor our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of system administration, troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers (Windows/Linux).
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and group policies.
- Perform routine system updates, patches, and backups.
- Troubleshoot system, server, and network issues and escalate when required.
- Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and asset records.
- Assist in managing cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP) under guidance.
- Support basic networking tasks such as LAN/WAN troubleshooting, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 6 months to 1.5 years of experience in system or IT support roles.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux OS.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN).
- Experience with ticketing tools and IT support processes.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Good to Have (Preferred Skills)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell/Bash).
- Familiarity with virtualization tools (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Understanding of backup and recovery processes.
