By supporting innovative solutions and promoting growth opportunities, the System Administrator contributes significantly to the overall success of the institution.Roles and Responsibilities:Manage and maintain the school's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.Implement and oversee backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect critical data.Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.Monitor system performance and conduct regular updates to software and hardware components.Collaborate with educational staff to integrate technology into the curriculum effectively.Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.Assist in the planning and execution of technology projects that enhance educational delivery.Conduct training sessions for staff and students on new technologies and best practices.Evaluate and recommend new technologies that align with the school's strategic goals.Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and user guides for reference.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role within an educational environment.Strong knowledge of network protocols, security, and system administration tools.Familiarity with cloud services and virtualization technologies.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are a plus.Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest technology trends.Experience with educational software and learning management systems is advantageous.
