MISSION
The System Administrator I - Workday reports to the Director of Business Applications and is responsible for ensuring stability, accuracy, and continuous improvement of our Workday platform across all modules. This role balances day-to-day administration with strategic enhancements, ensuring Workday evolves with organizational needs.

MISSION

This role balances day-to-day administration with strategic enhancements, ensuring Workday evolves with organizational needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support and administration across all Workday modules (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Compensation, Recruiting, Security, Reporting, Finance, etc.)
- Help maintain detailed governance documentation for the Alegeus Workday tenant that outlines roles and responsibilities, data and security policies, and support procedures
- Perform day-to-day administration tasks as assigned, such as:
- Test configuration changes in our testing environments for existing modules or features
- Create, update, and decommission user accounts
- Maintain permissions, roles, and profiles
- Create new reports
- Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and other systems
- Follow standard operating procedure documentation and be able to transfer knowledge and responsibilities to team members during absences
- Assist in updating existing business processes to support HCM, finance, or other departments
- Optimize and automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts
- Stay current with Workday releases and functionality to recommend and implement system/reporting enhancements
- Provide training and support to end-users on reporting tools and dashboards
- 1-3 years’ experience in supporting a Workday tenant
- Familiarity with ticketing systems for tracking tasks and support cases
- Experience writing and maintaining system documentation and standard operating procedures
- Experience with Workday business processes, security, and reporting is required
- Adaptable and resilient when faced with change, challenges, or complex situations
- Strong communicator who can explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Life-long learner with strong interest in learning new things and comfort in pushing new boundaries
- Curiosity and willingness to dig into details
- Ability and willingness to comprehend complex data structures
- Ability to work independently based on tasks provided by team members in a different timezone
- Strong decision-making, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
- Must be adaptable and embrace change
- Must be able to learn quickly and self-educate
