System Administrator Trainee

We are seeking a motivated and technically adept System Administrator Trainee to join our IT team. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Linux OS and Software.
• knowledge of Oracle Database, including its architecture, components, and features.
• Proficiency in Database (MySQL,Postgres,MariaDb)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge in windows system administration will be an added advantage for the position.
• Exposure in Windows and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS) Server Administration
  
  

• Certifications: MCSE, RHCE, RHCT, CCNA, CCNP are added advantage.
• Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) - Oracle Database Administrator
  
  

• Develop a strong understanding and knowledge of Linux OS and Software.
• Acquire knowledge of LAN, Wireless, WAN, Routing, and Networking, and demonstrate proficiency in networking protocols.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of routers, switches, load balancers, servers, storage devices, and network equipment.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
• Assist in administering and maintaining user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Work alongside senior team members to implement security measures ensuring the organization's data and systems are safeguarded.
• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot IT-related incidents, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the implementation and upgrading of software applications.
• Contribute to the execution of regular system backups and participate in the development of disaster recovery plans.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and assist in making recommendations for system improvements.
• Contribute to the documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge in any of the cloud environments (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
• Develop excellent knowledge of Security systems (Firewall, Ipsec), and gain proficiency in Hosting control panel (cPanel) and Scripting (Bash/Shell).
