TC-MENA Technology-Data Engineer-Senior

As part of the TC- MENA Technology team, Senior role create value by helping clients solve complex business problems through differentiated technological solutions. As a Data engineer, we are looking for skilled developers who have experience in designing and implementing data modelling, ETL , Azure etc. and collaborate with business stakeholders to implement data engineering solutions to business problems

The opportunity

We’re looking for candidates with strong technology and data understanding in big data engineering space, having proven delivery capability.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and deploying data pipelines and workflows using Azure Databricks (notebooks) & Azure Data Platform (Synapse or ADF).
• Developing and optimizing PySpark and Spark SQL for data processing and analytics.
• ETL design, development and migration of existing on-prem ETL routines to Cloud Service
• Interact with senior leaders, understand their business goals, contribute to the delivery of the workstreams
• Design and optimize model codes for faster execution
• Mentor junior members in team to provide expertise in Data engineering
  
  

• Overall 4 -8years of IT experience with 2+ Relevant experience in PySpark with Synapse or ADF or Databricks and good hands-on with exposure to latest ADF Version.
• Hands on Notebook development and query optimization in PySpark.
• Hands-on experience on Azure functions & Azure synapse (Formerly SQL Data Warehouse)
• Should have project experience in Azure Data Lake / Blob (Storage purpose)
• Should have basic understanding on Batch Account configuration, various control options
• Sound knowledge in Logic Apps & SQL Server.
• Should be able to coordinate independently with business stake holders and understand the business requirements, implement the requirements using Spark notebooks.
• Have working experience in an Agile/Waterfall ] delivery methodology
• Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal formal and informal).
• Participate in all aspects of Big Data solution delivery life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, production deployment, and support.
