Team Overview

We are hiring a Team Lead DevOps Engineer based in Bengaluru, who will act as the DevOps site lead for Bengaluru and manage two local DevOps engineers.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role, responsible not only for delivering infrastructure and deployment solutions, but also for driving the success of the local DevOps function through team mentorship and project leadership. You will collaborate closely with counterparts in EMEA and North America to deliver consistent, scalable DevOps practices globally.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small team of DevOps engineers in Bengaluru, supporting their professional growth and technical development
• Act as the local site lead for DevOps in Bengaluru, ensuring alignment with global practices and representing the team across functions
• Own the end-to-end design, implementation, and management of robust CI/CD pipelines to support agile development practices
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to identify areas for improvement and implement automation to enhance efficiency and reliability
• Lead the implementation of Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Ansible to automate environment provisioning and configuration
• Oversee and optimise cloud infrastructure in AWS (or other public clouds), balancing performance, security, and cost
• Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools such as Grafana and Prometheus to ensure system uptime and resilience
• Take ownership of incident response and root cause analysis for production issues, driving improvements across infrastructure and deployment
• Contribute to the evolution of DevOps best practices, championing continuous improvement and technology evaluation initiatives
  
  
  

Required Skills

• 7–10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or software delivery roles
• Ability to work a rotational shift pattern and be available for early or late shifts as well as weekends as and when required
• Proven experience leading projects and deliverables across environments, with accountability for timelines and quality
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead small technical teams, ideally with direct reports
• Strong technical expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines for distributed systems
• Proficiency in containerization with Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes in production settings
• Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with build and deployment tools including Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle
• Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, with hands-on AWS experience required
• AWS certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable
• Practical experience with monitoring and alerting tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across time zones and functions
