Technical Business Analyst - Senior

DESCRIPTION

The Technical Business Analyst - Senior provides technical expertise, analytical support, and solution design capabilities for IT applications and infrastructure aligned with business requirements. The role involves translating business needs into technical specifications, supporting the design and configuration of systems, participating in solution testing, and resolving technical issues, all in adherence to Cummins' architectural standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage technical specifications to guide application or infrastructure solutions.
• Assist in analyzing potential IT solutions and evaluate commercial vs. custom-built options.
• Support design of applications, interfaces, reports, and extensions, ensuring alignment with architecture and performance standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure solution delivery meets quality, schedule, cost, and scalability expectations.
• Conduct and participate in design/code reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
• Promote reuse of components to reduce costs and accelerate delivery.
• Support testing activities by assisting in test strategy and execution of master test plans.
• Maintain system documentation and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide Level 3 support for critical technical issues.
• Contribute to the creation of standards, procedures, and support documentation ("runbooks").

RESPONSIBILITIES

Skills and Experience:

Required:

• 5-8 years of experience in a relevant discipline with SAC Certification .
• SAC-SAP Analytical Cloud experience , building data models in SAC, Standard & custom reporting & dashboards experience.
• Implementation of SAC
• Exposure of working with SAP & external data sources.
• Experience in executing SQL queries on SQL and NoSQL sources.
• Exposure to Agile software development practices.
• Experience with IoT technologies .
• Proficiency in data profiling and data catalog tools .
• Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools and technologies.

Preferred:

• Exposure to Big Data open-source frameworks.
• Experience in clustered compute cloud-based implementations .

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

• College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business , or a related field.
• Relevant certifications or licenses as required for compliance with export control or sanctions regulations.
