Overview
TVH is seeking a Technical Information Data Engineer to join our global team. The team is specialized in consolidating technical information from various data sources across our different markets and industries.
As Technical Information Data Engineer you are responsible for making all identified brand equipment information available within our internally and externally used tools. One of the objectives is to ensure the right information is captured, translated and transformed into a data product that fits the needs of our stakeholders and tools. This data is key for our internal teams to have efficient and effective support towards our customers and also to ensure our customers have a good user experience with the lookup tools we provide.
You will be reporting directly to the Technical Information team manager.
Your Role And Responsibilities
Translating requirements into technical implementation: You will work closely together with our analyst to translate the requirements into identified data points from an unstructured data source, and start building the puzzle to gather these data points and design the data product which is fit-for-use in our ecosystem.
Data Transformation & Delivery Champion: You will design and develop the entire E2E data delivery process within customer-facing search engines. Acting as an data coding expert within the team, you will focus on building efficient data extraction and transformation methodologies to finally build the high-quality data products.
Analytic-driven problem solver: You are energized to deep-dive into the Equipment data domain to untangle the complex data challenges and find the right data connections to translate these into potential resolutions and data models. Resulting in a technical data design which meets the business requirements and system requirements.
Continuous improvement believer: You continuously search for potential process and quality improvements throughout the data delivery process, going from project documentation to new (technical) ways of working to improve data quality, boost efficiency and reduce time-to-delivery. How To Succeed/Your Profile
Must have
- Bachelor or master's degree in Business science, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field
- Experience in developing scripts in Python
- Experience with transforming hex data
- Knowledge of Reverse engineering
- Must have 4+ years of experience in Data engineering
- Strong Python skills or similar coding experience
- SQL skills (both standard SQL as BigQuery SQL will be used)
- Extensive experience with the general principles of data bases, data engineering, data modeling, data transformation and data pipelining.
- Strong analytical mind and you get energized by resolving complex data problems
- A good eye for detail and a commitment to deliver high data quality and accuracy
- You believe that documentation is as important as code
- Fluent communication (speaking and writing) in English.
- Creative and enterprising personality who is not afraid to try out new ideas.
- Willingness to travel a few weeks per year.
- Affinity with the Equipment parts and service industry
- Basic knowledge of Google Cloud or other cloud solutions
- MS SQL Server knowledge
- Familiar with project development methodologies such as Scrum (Agile).
