Job Description
Duties:
- Architect and design scalable Winshuttle Evolve solutions to automate master data processes and ensure seamless integration with SAP and other enterprise platforms.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and design patterns aligned with business and governance requirements.
- Develop and optimize complex scripts, dynamic forms, and dashboards to enhance user experience and system performance.
- Implement reusable components and enforce coding standards and best practices across the team.

- Lead the design and execution of robust data flows between SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Collaborate with middleware and API teams to ensure secure, efficient data exchange.
- Ensure all automation solutions adhere to data governance policies, validation rules, and audit requirements.
- Support data quality initiatives by embedding governance checkpoints in workflows.
- Guide and mentor junior developers on solution design, troubleshooting, and platform capabilities.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and build technical capability within the team.
- Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders, functional consultants, and IT to gather requirements and translate them into effective automation solutions.
- Participate in planning and prioritization discussions for automation and enhancement projects.
- Monitor the performance of deployed solutions, proactively resolve issues, and fine-tune performance bottlenecks.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of workflows and automation scripts across production environments.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions, configurations, and procedures.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and workshops to upskill peers and business users

Qualifications
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Diploma / Any Degree / Post-Graduation
Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 6 years of experience in one or two SAP Modules e.g., Vendor, Customer, Finance, Material
- SAP ERP knowledge
- Excel - Intermediate to Advanced level
- In-depth knowledge of building and managing scripts, forms, workflows, and dashboards
- Understanding of Winshuttle architecture, user roles, permissions, and server components
- Strong understanding of SAP master and transactional data structures
- Expertise in building scalable, user-friendly business process automation
- Understanding of system integration strategies (e.g., REST, SOAP, RFCs).
- Knowledge of middleware or ETL tools (e.g., SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft, Informatica) is a plus.
- Proficiency in database systems (SQL, Oracle, etc.) and data modelling.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Ability to create robust integrations with SAP and other platforms.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication for interfacing with business and IT stakeholders
- Experience in conducting solution demos, user training, and stakeholder workshops
- Ability to guide junior developers and ensure solution quality across the team
- Proactive ownership of tasks, continuous improvement mindset, and accountability
- Skill in creating clear documentation, technical specifications, and user guides.

Job Purpose:
A strategic pillar of Smiths Detection's Acceleration Program involves a significant investment in enhancing Vendor and Customer Master Data quality. To lead this important initiative within the MDM team, we are seeking a highly skilled Vendor and Customer Master Data Strategist with a strong focus on Data Quality Management. This expert will collaborate closely with teams across Procurement, Sales, Finance, and Controls to thoroughly assess current data challenges – such as duplicates, inconsistencies, and data incompleteness – and develop a comprehensive roadmap of solutions. The role requires deep expertise in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of Vendor and Customer Master data to drive key business outcomes. This position is initially temporary, with the potential for an extension or permanent placement based on evolving business needs.
