Roles & Responsibilities:
The individual will be responsible for guiding the data team through complex technical challenges, ensuring high-quality data solutions, aligning technical efforts with business goals. He/she is also responsible for mentoring the team and play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical aspects of data related projects.
Must Have Skills:
- Experience on working with ETL on a data warehouse or big data projects.
- Experience with cloud services like Azure or GCP or AWS with respect to the data related services.
- Experience in python or any other programming using tools on cloud.
- Good SQL skills and able to solve complex problems in database SQL language efficiently.
- Able to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues in complex enterprise product.
- Can work as an individual contributor as well as leading projects with a small team of engineers.
- Basic understanding of reporting tools and basic visuals; should be able to tell a story from data using visual aids.
- Actively participate and manage design and code reviews.
- Estimate, plan and assign tasks to team members (not independently, with the help of a project manager is fine).
- Good communication and analytical skills.
Good to Have Skills:
- Understands agile project development concepts like sprint/scrum etc.
- Certifications in SQL and cloud technologies.
- Experience on Master data management or data governance related areas.
- Understands concepts like streaming data processing, data lake, and distributed data architecture.
- Azure Data factory is preferred but not mandatory.
