Overview
We are building robotics and IoT products focused on real-world automation, sensing, monitoring, and control. We are looking for a hands-on technical lead or founding builder who can help shape the prototype from the ground up and work closely on execution, integration, and field-readiness.
We intend to take some of these beyond TRL 7, so this role offers the opportunity to help move a product from prototype toward deployment. We are also looking for someone who understands the product development lifecycle and can bring structure to execution.
What you will do
Help define and drive the technical direction of the prototype.
Break down product goals into practical technical modules, tasks, and milestones.
Work across hardware, embedded systems, sensing, control logic, software, dashboards, and testing as needed.
Coordinate integration between sensors, control subsystems, and monitoring tools.
Debug issues quickly, identify risks early, and keep execution moving.
Document design decisions, test findings, and implementation trade-offs clearly.
Support prototype readiness for demos, pilot discussions, and validation.
Who this role is for
Someone who has built real systems and can show evidence of hands-on work.
Someone who is comfortable learning across domains and solving messy real-world problems.
Someone who can take ownership even in an unstructured environment.
Someone who values building over titles.
Someone who is excited by the chance to work on a mission-driven, early-stage product.
Someone who understands the product development lifecycle and can bring structure to product execution.
This opportunity is open to college lecturers or professors who are willing to give time daily, as well as students, recent graduates, and experienced contributors. Strong college projects, hackathons, research builds, internships, startup work, open-source contributions, and self-initiated prototypes all count. The focus is on demonstrated hands-on ability, ownership, clarity of thinking, and willingness to build, not just years of formal experience. Age No bar - even retired individuals with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Skills we would value
Embedded systems, electronics, sensors, microcontrollers, or IoT systems.
Robotics, automation, motion systems, or control logic.
Python, C/C++, APIs, dashboards, logging, or backend tools.
Rapid prototyping, debugging, and system integration.
Technical documentation and communication.
Ability to work with ambiguity and make progress with limited resources.
Formal education in Engineering- ME, MTech, BE, or BTech in related fields.
No candidate is expected to have everything. Strong learning ability and demonstrated building experience matter more than a perfect checklist.
What will make an application stand out
A GitHub profile, demo video, project portfolio, build log.
Clear evidence that you personally built, debugged, or integrated something substantial.
Ability to explain what failed, what changed, and what was learned.
Ownership mindset and bias toward execution.
Role format
This can be structured flexibly depending on fit:
Internship.
Project-based role.
Part-time contributor role.
Full-time role, if mutually feasible.
Candidates with deeper experience who want to contribute meaningfully, even in a limited or flexible capacity, are encouraged to apply.
Compensation
This is a paid role, but compensation is currently constrained as this is an early-stage company. The team is being transparent about budget limitations at this stage, but there is intent to revisit salary or stipend levels once funding is unblocked. For the right person, this role offers high ownership, real product exposure, visible impact, and the chance to help shape a meaningful build from an early stage.
Location preference
Preference will be given to local candidates, especially those based in or near Kharadi, Pune, since the role may involve in-person coordination, prototyping, and field-related work.
Application process
Please share your resume and, if available, links to projects, demos, GitHub, portfolio, or any relevant build documentation. Due to limited team bandwidth, it may not be possible to respond to every application individually. Only shortlisted candidates may be contacted, and applicants should allow up to 2 weeks to hear back.
