Why We Need This Role

To provide technical resolution to faults on Colt backbone networks, owning all complex hardware / software faults generated on the network to resolve any issues escalated by the team and working to further improve and enhance the processes. This will involve managing the appropriate, timely level of escalation on complex, escalated and reoccurring network faults..  

Job Description

Typical tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Managing the 24/7 operations of Colt's network infrastructure to ensure seamless 24/7 technical support to a high quality standard measured through NES/NPS and in line with SLAs and maximum service availability and performance for customers.
• Implementing and maintaining policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, minimising downtime and supporting efficient operations.
• Overseeing the logging and documentation of daily network operations incidents and changes.
• Managing and directing Team Leads and Specialists in the delivery of network operations and services.
• Providing deep technical expertise in networking, systems and software to lead the troubleshooting and resolution of network issues.
• Building relationships with internal functions (Sales, Service Management and other Operations and Engineering Functions) and external partners.
