: Technical Lead ( WordPress PHP)

Experience Range : 7+ years

What is the work?

• Lead the end-to-end development of WordPress-based applications, including architecture, custom modules, plugins, and integrations.
• Perform hands-on coding for critical modules, performance-sensitive components, and integrations.
• Review team code and optimize databases, queries, caching, and WordPress configurations for high performance.
• Guide the team on best practices, troubleshooting, debugging complex issues, and architectural improvements.
• Work closely with PMs, designers, and QA to ensure smooth execution across sprints.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and provide mitigation strategies early in the project lifecycle.
• Plan and execute deployments, manage environments, and ensure proper CI/CD flows.
• Provide technical documentation, estimations, and support pre-sales discussions when required.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for both the internal team and clients
  
  

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP (7/8), MySQL, and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Deep understanding of WordPress architecture, hooks/actions, REST API, WP Cron, and multisite concepts.
• Experience building custom plugins, reusable components, and scalable architectures.
• Expertise in performance optimization: caching, CDN usage, query optimization, and page speed improvements.
• Experience in API integrations, third-party services, payment gateways and other connectors.
• Experience with version control platforms (Git).
• Strong understanding of web security: OWASP basics, plugin vetting, input sanitization, and secure coding practices.
• Strong knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery; React/Vue).
• Knowledge of server-side configurations (Nginx/Apache), Linux basics, and environment management (dev/staging/prod).
