Role Overview
This is a high-ownership Individual Contributor (IC) role within the COO's Office, responsible for end-to-end execution support and PMO ownership across multiple parallel, interdependent initiatives.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams - engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and senior leadership - while partnering with external vendors and execution partners across India and international locations.
The role demands strong on-ground execution, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to move fast without compromising rigor.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Programs & New Initiatives
- Lead cross-functional programs for new manufacturing setup, capacity expansion, and product industrialization
- Drive AI, automation, data, and Industry 4.0 initiatives across manufacturing and operations
- Translate leadership priorities into structured roadmaps, milestones, and governance mechanisms
- Own integrated project planning across multiple workstreams
- Define and track milestones, dependencies, and critical paths
- Establish and run tight execution cadence including dashboards, reviews, and escalation forums
- Drive day-to-day execution to keep programs on track against timelines, scope, and budgets
- Coordinate with manufacturing, sourcing, and engineering teams to unblock issues
- Support readiness across people, process, and infrastructure for go-live
- Ensure leadership decisions translate into rapid on-ground action
Vendor & Partner Collaboration
- Coordinate with vendors and partners across India and international locations
- Support cross-border execution and on-site engagement when required to accelerate decisions and resolve bottlenecks
- Enable structured collaboration between internal teams and external partners to meet delivery commitments
- Proactively identify execution risks and bottlenecks
- Build and drive mitigation plans
- Escalate decisively when timelines or outcomes are at risk
Stakeholder & Leadership Alignment
- Act as an execution arm of the COO's Office for priority initiatives
- Present clear, fact-based updates on progress, risks, and trade-offs
- Maintain tight alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and business teams
- Primary base: Manufacturing / Operations site
- Travel: High flexibility required, including short-notice and extended travel (India and overseas)
- Role nature: Deeply execution-oriented and hands-on
- 5-10 years of experience in program management, operations, manufacturing, or industrial transformation roles
- Strong experience running complex, operations-heavy programs
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines
- Comfort working with factories, vendors, and on-site teams
- Exposure to automation, digital manufacturing, AI, or Industry 4.0 initiatives preferred
- Strong structuring, problem-solving, and business-case skills
- High ownership mindset; thrives in IC roles with real accountability
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive progress without perfect information
- Willingness to travel and be on the ground when execution demands it
