Overview
As a Project Manager, you will lead and facilitate Agile development teams to deliver high-quality software products on time and within budget. This role involves overseeing Agile ceremonies, identifying and addressing impediments, calculating team velocity, working with the team to estimate project delivery, and communicating delivery risks to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong Agile project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
1. Agile Ceremonies:- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.- Ensure that Agile ceremonies are conducted efficiently and effectively to support project delivery.
2. Impediment Resolution:- Identify and address impediments that may hinder the progress of Agile teams.- Work with team members and stakeholders to remove obstacles and keep projects on track.
3. Team Velocity:- Calculate and monitor team velocity to predict the amount of work that can be completed in each sprint.- Use historical data and metrics to improve team velocity over time.
4. Project Estimation:- Collaborate with the Agile team to estimate the delivery timeline for prioritized projects or features.- Help the team break down user stories and tasks into manageable units of work.
5. Stakeholder Communication:- Notify stakeholders of delivery risks, changes in project scope, or any other relevant information.- Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones achieved, and upcoming deliverables.
6. Quality Assurance:- Ensure that Agile teams adhere to quality standards and best practices throughout the development process.- Monitor and address any issues related to software quality and performance.
7. Continuous Improvement:- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within Agile teams by encouraging feedback and implementing process enhancements.- Identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains in Agile processes and practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master in software development environments.- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and best
practices.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.- Demonstrated ability to identify and address impediments, facilitate problem-solving, and drive results.- Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to make informed decisions.- Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, Agile Certified Practitioner)preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with distributed Agile teams or in a remote work environment.- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.- Familiarity with Lean principles and practices for continuous improvement.- Ability to coach and mentor Agile team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
