Overview
The Role
As a Technical Project Manager, your mission is to lead enterprise software development initiatives by combining strong project management discipline with deep technical understanding and domain expertise related to FinTech or Banking or Billing and Payments domain. You will act as a bridge between product management, development teams, and business stakeholders—driving delivery while also contributing as a product subject matter expert.
What You’ll Do:
- Serve as Scrum Master for development teams, ensuring Agile practices are followed and continuously improved.
- Partner with Product Managers and Product Owners to refine requirements, prioritize the backlog, and align delivery to business objectives.
- Coordinate across engineering, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions on time.
- Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the assigned products, developing deep knowledge of the product, domain, and customer use cases.
- Guide the team on technical design considerations, leveraging knowledge of React, Java, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Manage project scope, schedules, risks, and dependencies across multiple initiatives.
- Prepare and present status updates, roadmaps, and progress reports to senior leadership.
- Mentor and coach team members on Agile best practices, product knowledge, and collaboration.
Talents You’ll Bring:
- 8+ years of experience in software development projects, with at least 3+ years in a Technical Project Manager, Scrum Master, or hybrid Product Owner role.
- Experience managing enterprise-scale projects in banking, billing, and payments domains (US financial services strongly preferred).
- Strong foundation in Agile/Scrum methodologies with Agile/Scrum certification preferred.
- Technical background—hands-on experience or strong knowledge of modern enterprise tech stacks including React, Java, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver complex software solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate between business and technical audiences.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to quickly learn and become the domain expert for assigned products.
