Overview
SUMMARY
The Project Manager of Engineering Operations will join RealPage’s R&D organization as a strategic leader, change agent, and strategic communicator. This individual will lead and assist with key strategic programs across RealPage and the R&D organization. This is an exciting role in a fast-paced global company with the ability to positivity impact and transform the R&D organization.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Program and Project Management: Lead and assist projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk. Report project status and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan.
- Metrics & Reporting: collect and communicate both qualitative and quantitative data from within and outside the Engineering organization. This can include data from internal systems and 3rd party applications as well as data from Accounting / Finance, HR and Product
- Strategy/Alignment: Ensure clear and consistent communication between Engineering and other teams, helping to identify areas for improvement and define business objectives. Act as a trusted advisor sharing relevant data to help leaders make informed decisions.
- Global Focus: foster global collaboration and drive unity within and across teams
- Team development: oversee onboarding for new team members and continuing professional development for existing team members.
- Change Agent: be a role model driving transformation with a sense of urgency, flexibility, and passion
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
- Candidates must have 6+ years in a Project Management role
- 6+ years of Program Management experience with a working knowledge of SAFe
- Experience leading large-scale agile transformations and managing multi-team, multi-product programs following scaled-Agile approaches
- Recent experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, BSA’s, Developers, etc.)
- Experience using Azure DevOps to manage multi-team, multi-product programs
- Experience managing project management and time tracking tools
- Experience managing software capitalized development processes and reporting
- Advanced MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel) skills
- Experience with Software as a Service products
- Software development or software product management experience is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate vision, impact, and trade-offs to executive leadership
- Experience with automation and best practice tools for transformation and product/technology programs
- Ability to combine strategic thinking, with solid attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills that can influence decisions and actions among stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem solving
