Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Engineer specializing in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of CAD systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical users. This role involves providing exceptional customer support, resolving technical issues, and assisting clients in maximizing their use of CAD applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support to customers using our CAD software and tools, addressing inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CAD software, including installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with the product development team to identify, document, and communicate software bugs and feature requests.
- Assist in delivering training workshops and webinars to educate clients on best practices and advanced features of the CAD software.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in product testing and quality assurance to ensure high standards for software releases.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to provide informed guidance to clients.
- Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction with our products and services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical support, with a focus on CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).
- Strong understanding of CAD principles, design processes, and industry standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and ticketing systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client visits or training sessions (if applicable).
