We are looking for a Technical Support Specialist / Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working closely with users, and understands both technology and trading workflows.
Role Overview
As a Technical Support Specialist at Level2, you will be the first line of support for our users—helping diagnose technical issues, explain platform behavior, and ensure smooth trading operations. This role requires strong communication skills, basic programming knowledge, and a solid understanding of trading concepts.
You will work closely with the engineering and product teams to relay issues, reproduce bugs, and improve overall system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide real-time technical support to users via chat, email, or internal tools
- Troubleshoot issues related to:
- Order placement, execution, and trade status
- Broker connectivity and API-related errors
- Platform performance and UI behavior
- Read and understand logs, error messages, and basic stack traces -Assist in reproducing bugs and clearly documenting them for engineering teams
- Explain trading-related concepts and platform behavior to users in clear, simple English
- Monitor live deployments and flag anomalies proactively
- Help build, maintain, and improve the company’s existing internal knowledge base and support documentation
- Work closely with product and engineering to improve support workflows
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills (mandatory)
- Basic knowledge of Python (reading code, understanding logic, debugging basics)
- Basic familiarity with React / frontend concepts (good to have)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
- Ability to stay calm and effective during high-pressure trading hours
- Comfortable working in evening and night shifts
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a technical support, application support, QA, or customer-facing technical role
Trading Knowledge (Strongly Preferred)
- Understanding of basic trading concepts such as:
- Market vs Limit orders
- Stop Loss / Take Profit
- Order lifecycle (placed, filled, rejected, cancelled)
- Slippage, spreads, and execution delays
- Prior exposure to trading platforms, brokers, or APIs is a big plus
Working Hours
Primary shift: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM IST
Evening/Night shift: 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM IST
Candidates must be comfortable with split shifts and evening trading hours.
Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech, trading platforms, or broker integrations
- Familiarity with logs, APIs, or basic SQL
- Startup experience or customer-facing technical roles
