Position: Test Engineer- Manual Testing with Strong experience in payments domain(SWIFT, MT and MX )

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

The Functional Tester will act as a functional analyst and testing lead, playing an instrumental role in user story testing, triage, and day-to-day functional support of the CGI Payments solution. This role requires strong domain expertise, stakeholder interaction, and the ability to independently manage complex functional issues.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Perform functional testing of user stories ready for System Testing and Acceptance Testing

Execute system testing and regression testing across releases

Analyze, replicate, and resolve production and UAT functional issues

Manage and respond to client service requests related to application functionality

Participate in and lead triage calls with internal teams and clients to drive timely issue resolution

Accurately document issues, analysis, test evidence, and resolutions

Work closely with client and internal teams to meet agreed SLAs and timelines

Maintain up-to-date documentation of:

Functional requests

Test cases and test results

Release and maintenance activities

Support release management and post-release validation

Stay informed of application dependencies and overall system status

Mentor junior testers and guide functional testing best practices

Be flexible with work hours when required to support application or client needs

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Must have Skills-

3+ years of experience in manual/functional testing, functional analysis, and triage

Strong experience in payments or banking domain

Excellent understanding of end-to-end payment flows

• Knowledge on Payments/Banking domains. Highvalue & Bulk payments
• Worked on any clearing systems like ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS.
• Knowledge about SWIFT. Worked on MT and MX messages
• Knowledge about ISO 20022 standards
• Experience/Knowledge on 'Euroclear payments' is an added advantage
• API testing
  
  

Strong client-facing and stakeholder communication skills

Hands-on experience writing high-quality functional and regression test cases

Experience with JIRA; XRay exposure is desirable

Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)

Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills

Team player with the ability to work independently

Automation Upskilling Expectation

Willingness to learn basic test automation and scripting

Ability to collaborate with automation testers and gradually contribute to automation coverage

Good to have Skills-

Experience supporting UAT / production environments

Knowledge of Agile methodologies

Basic understanding of test management and reporting metrics
