The Quality Assurance Specialist – Level 2 will primarily focus on executing regression testing and data validation activities to support mainframe tool and data migration initiatives. The role is execution-heavy and requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail rather than heavy coding.

The candidate will work closely with technical and migration teams to ensure that applications function as expected after migration.

Key Responsibilities

Execute regression testing for mainframe tool and data migration projects

Perform data migration validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and integrity

Validate batch jobs, reports, and outputs pre- and post-migration

Identify, log, and track defects; support defect triage activities

Create, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts

Update test execution status, defects, and evidence in test management tools

Support SIT and UAT cycles as required

Collaborate with development, migration, and operations teams during testing cycles

Mandatory Skills

Hands-on experience in manual and/or automated testing on mainframe platforms

Strong understanding of regression testing concepts

Ability to perform data checks and validation during migration activities

Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

Exposure to mainframe tool or data migration projects

Familiarity with Jira/Xray or similar test management tools

Basic understanding of mainframe batch processing and job flows

Ideal Candidate Profile

3–6 years of QA experience with a mainframe testing background

Detail-oriented, process-driven, and execution-focused

Comfortable working in structured testing environments
