Test Engineer

The Test Engineer is responsible to perform testing and measurements on timing system products following Morse Global Engineering Procedures and Processes, supports Application Engineers to meet customer requirements on testing.

The incumbent will be expected to perform testing and measurements on test rigs and IC engines. He is expected to work in a research and development environment involving IC Engines and low voltage electrical equipment to provide valid measurements. His key roles and responsibilities include

• Preparing Instrumentation and assembly of various sensors such as Loadcell, Pressure Sensors, LVDT, Accelerometer on the IC Engines at customer end.
• Acquisition of engine data using data acquisition equipment – PDAS / iAsys / AVL-PUMA etc
• Calibration of sensors – Loadcell, Pressure sensor & LVDT and maintaining calibration report.
• Operating and maintenance of high speed rotary fatigue and strength testing machines involving motors and hydraulics
• Coordinate and prepare test fixtures using support of designers
• Testing work load planning and tracking and effective utilisation of test equipment.
• Analysis and interpretation of test results, report preparation and customer communication.
• Work and co-ordinate with multinational teams to get support, clarifications and resolve issues
• Should be able to interact with customers for discussions on Application, failure resolution, report discussions and other similar topics.
• Should also be able to take up Application Engineer role which includes knowledge on DFMEA, DVP, drawing reading, stack ups, GD&Ts, problem solving, 8D etc.,
