Job Summary

Job Title: Lab Technician / Validation Technician

Location: Bangalore, India

Business Unit / Function: Lab Operations

Role Summary

The Lab Technician supports reliability validation and qualification activities by executing lab tests, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, performing measurements, updating tracking sheets, supporting test reporting, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and EHS procedures. This role is critical to ensuring safe, accurate, and on-time execution of multiple reliability programs.

Key Responsibilities

Reliability Test & Lab Support

• Execute reliability and qualification tests such as thermal, humidity, vibration, mechanical, electrical, and functional tests
• Set up test samples, fixtures, sensors, and instrumentation
• Monitor tests, record observations, and escalate abnormalities

• Perform measurements using multimeters, oscilloscopes, DAQs, sensors, and power meters
• Maintain accurate test logs and raw data records
• Regularly update test tracking sheets (test status, run hours, deviations)
• Support preparation of test reports and data summaries

• Operate environmental chambers, vibration systems, power supplies, electronic loads, and DAQs
• Perform basic troubleshooting and routine equipment checks
• Coordinate calibration, servicing, and repairs

• Strictly follow lab safety, EHS, and electrical safety procedures
• Adhere to SOPs, risk assessments, and PPE requirements
• Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately

• Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in reliability, validation, or engineering labs and Total 10+ Yrs exp
• Strong hands-on experience with lab equipment and measurements
• Ability to follow test procedures, wiring diagrams, and SOPs

• Strong ownership for safe and disciplined lab execution
• Detail-oriented with high documentation accuracy
• Team-oriented and proactive in issue identification
