- Job Purpose
The Test Lead is responsible for ensuring the functional quality, reliability, and security of Epiroc’s digital applications. The role bridges business requirements and technical implementation by validating that solutions meet user expectations, compliance standards, and operational needs. The Test Lead also drives testing strategy, documentation quality, and Agile delivery discipline.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead testing activities across the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring thorough functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Translate business processes and user‑level workflows into test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure defect‑free releases.
- Participate in testing activities across the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring defect free releases.
- Experience in working with testing of front end applications such as Vite, Webpack, Angular CLI, React and back end applications such as NET (C#) / Java / Node.js, REST & GraphQL API design, Authentication (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML)
- Understand application functionality deeply from a user perspective and convert it into technical validation steps.
- Challenge requirements where clarification or risk identification is needed.
- Act as a hands‑on Scrum Master, facilitating Agile ceremonies where required.
- Use Jira effectively for backlog management, test planning, sprint tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure testing incorporates IT Security principles and that application behavior aligns with compliance needs.
- Produce high‑quality test documentation, including test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and release reports.
- Communicate findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders, enabling informed decision‑making.
- Deliver clear, structured presentations with excellent attention to detail.
- Work independently while keeping stakeholders informed on progress, risks, and timelines.
- Proactively identify process improvements that increase testing efficiency and maturity.
- Required Qualifications
- 5 years of hands‑on experience in similar roles.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong business reasoning with the ability to understand user needs and functional workflows.
- Hands‑On Scrum Master experience and working with Agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of IT Security principles and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to work independently with excellent time‑management skills.
- Excellent documentation and presentation skills, demonstrating attention to detail.
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
