Job Title: Performance Tester

Role Proficiency:

As a Performance Tester, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Test Case Construction: Construct systematic and detailed test cases based on customer user stories or application requirements.
• Execution of Test Cases: Execute systematic test cases from scenarios based on customer requirements to evaluate the application's performance under various conditions.
• Performance Validation: Ensure that new or revised components or systems meet performance expectations, including criteria such as usability, performance, reliability, and compatibility.
• Documentation: Document and report test results, detailing defects and issues that arise during testing, and ensure that these are communicated effectively to the development team for resolution.
• Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with established standards throughout the testing process to guarantee the functionality and performance meet the required specifications.

Must-Have Skills / Requirements:

• Performance Testing Tools: Experience with industry-standard performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar.
• Test Case Development: Ability to construct comprehensive and systematic test cases based on user stories or application requirements.
• Defect Reporting: Skilled in documenting and reporting test results and defects in a clear and concise manner.
• Knowledge of Performance Metrics: Understanding of key performance testing metrics like response time, throughput, concurrent users, and system resource utilization.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide feedback to improve performance.
• Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the quality of the application meets the standards.

Good-to-Have Skills / Desirable Experience:

• Automation Testing: Experience with automated testing tools or scripting for performance testing (e.g., Selenium or similar).
• Cloud Testing: Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, etc.) for performance testing.
• Load Testing: Experience with scaling tests and assessing how systems perform under stress, such as handling high-volume traffic or transaction loads.
• Performance Tuning: Basic understanding of how to optimize application performance based on testing results (e.g., server tuning, database optimization).
• Scripting Knowledge: Knowledge of scripting languages (such as Python, Groovy, or JavaScript) to write custom performance tests.

Experience Range:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant performance testing experience in an agile or waterfall environment.
• Industry Experience: Experience in performance testing for web applications, APIs, mobile apps, or enterprise software is preferred.
